The red stripe is an honor awarded in Polish primary and secondary schools for excellent results on the report card. The conditions are typically as follows:
- grade point average of at least 4.75 from all compulsory subjects,
- no failing grades (and usually no barely passing grades),
- at least "very good" behavior grade.
The red stripe symbolizes diligence, good results, and exemplary behavior throughout the school year; it is awarded together with the report card.
